Installation and alignment at a professional shop
DGR Thailand sells parts only. Installation and setup are done by installers and dealers.
This guide helps you prepare, talk to the shop clearly, and know what to check before you drive away.
Why use a professional shop
- The suspension is a safety system
- Every bolt must be tightened to the specified torque
- Left and right ride heights must match, and spring preload must be set correctly
- The wheels need aligning after every installation
Before you go
Have this information ready
- Your car’s model, year and generation
- The series and part number you bought
- Your target ride height and main use
- Your wheel and tyre sizes
Ask the shop
- Have you installed an adjustable suspension kit before?
- Do you have a wheel alignment machine?
- What does the installation price include, for example alignment and headlamp aiming?
- How long will it take?
Check the parts before work starts
Open the box and check everything against the “What’s in the box” list on your vehicle page. If anything is missing, tell us on DGR Thailand’s LINE Official account before installation starts.
What the shop usually does
- Checks the kit against the car and the box contents
- Removes the original suspension
- Assembles and fits the new kit, tightening bolts to the specified torque
- Sets left and right ride heights, and sets spring preload according to the manual
- Sets damping to a starting point
- Aligns the wheels: toe, and camber where adjustable
- Measures the headlamp height and re-aims the headlamps
- Road-tests the car, listens for noises and re-checks
Why wheel alignment matters
Changing ride height changes the wheel angles. Without an alignment, the car can pull to one side, the steering wheel can sit off-centre, and the tyres wear unevenly.
With RC, the installer can set camber at the top plate, because RC comes with a pillowball camber top mount as standard.
Check before you drive away
- Left and right ride heights are close to each other
- You have the alignment printout
- The steering wheel is straight when driving straight
- No unusual noises over bumps or when turning the wheel
- No tyre rub at full steering lock
- Every lock ring is tight
- You have a note of the damping setting on every shock
- Headlamps are at least 40 cm above the ground (DLT notice B.E. 2552 and amendment No. 2, B.E. 2555)
After installation
- Springs and parts may settle slightly at first. Have the shop re-check ride height and alignment when they recommend.
- Register your warranty on LINE Official, and keep your receipt and the shop’s job sheet.
- If you notice noises or anything unusual, go back to your installer first. If you think a part is faulty, contact our after-sales team on DGR Thailand’s LINE Official account.
Installation cost
Agree the installation cost directly with the shop. DGR Thailand doesn’t set or publish installation prices, because every car needs different work.
